For same day processing and dispatch product must arrive before 03:00 with accurate and complete paperwork. If you are experiencing delays with your produce arriving at Steritech, advise us ASAP and we will assist as best we can.
Peak season volumes may impact time of dispatch availability. Saturday treatments are limited and should be confirmed in advance with mrforders@steritech.com.au or calling 0447 379 028 & swynntaylor@Steritech.com.au or calling 0499 831 122.
Pallet Processing Requirements
Steritech Merrifield can process pallets to maximum dimensions of 1.2m x 1.2m x 2.4m and a maximum weight of 1500kg. If your pallets exceed the height or weight maximum, please note additional charges may be applied. (1000kg limit is due to conveyor weight capacity)
To reduce the cost of over-height/weight pallets for the customer we have added a new charge of $70 per space. IE If a 2.5m pallet or 1800kg pallet is received it will now be charged as 1x standard treatment space + $70. Previously it was charged as two full treatment spaces that are required for processing. This is intended for isolated scenarios and pack styles, not high-volume routine processing. If abused the option may be removed.

Each carton must be labelled in accordance with the ICA-55 Protocol. This information can be added to an existing label. (third line is the date code which must change / be unique to each shipment)

Grower details must follow Grown By and include:
Name
Address
Packed by details may be included but cannot be labelled in replacement of grown by details.
Note: Relabelling will be supported adhoc, however it is the customer’s responsibility to resolve labelling errors for ongoing shipments.
Pest Security (Netting)
If your produce arrives and is not considered pest proof on a carton or pallet level, a pallet net will be fitted in line with ICA-55 protocol. If you send these nets back to us in good condition, we will reuse and credit[SW1.1] you monthly – if you would like to find out more information on this please email mrforders@steritech.com.au
Steritech Transport to SA/WA/TAS
Steritech Merrifield can book transport via Collins to SA and WA, with Collin’s subcontracting the freight to HPS from SA to WA. An electronic copy of documents including the con note will generally be emailed to the customer contact on the booking to to assist with tracking and shipment ETA.
If you would like to utilize this service, please fill out the transport section on the Request for Irradiation form.
Transport to SA and WA dispatches before 3pm, which means
Treat + 1 day for ADL delivery
Treat + 3 days for PER delivery
Ie Treat Mon for ADL on Tue, PER on Thu
Next day delivery to TAS can be arranged by Steritech with:
Coles Collect / TGE for Coles orders*
Primary Connect / SRT for Woolworths orders*
Team Global Express for most destinations – Steritech charges apply

External Transport and Sea Freight
If you have booked a third party carrier or are arranging sea freight container for live loading, please ensure you or the carrier or forwarder have confirmed a realistic time for loading and copy MRForders@steritech.com.au.
CHEP / LOSCAM Pallets
WE DO NOT EXHANGE PALLETS OR MAINTAIN PALLET ACCOUNTS! If you are sending produce on a returnable pallet, please transfer to the produce final receiver. IE Freight forwarder, wholesale agent or retailer. Send transfer documents with the consignment
Paperwork
Steritech requires the customer supplies through the portal submission:
Delivery Dockets (Purchas orders)
CHEP/LOSCAM Transfers
Transport Connote (if organised by customer)
Copy of Import Permit and Grower Declaration (for WA pome fruits)
Steritech will provide and take responsibility for:
Treatment Certificate (automatically generated after your order has been processed)
Plant Health Assurance Certificate (domestic) or Transfer Record (export)
Notice of Intention (Tasmania and WA pome fruits)
Transport Connote (if booked by Steritech)
Customers must understand their receiver’s paperwork requirements.
Steritech does not take responsibility to pass on documentation that is not provided.
If communication is sent from Steritech that paperwork is missing and no response is made, we will continue to dispatch produce as per the original request timeline.

- Steritech take pulp temps of produce on arrival and dispatch, if your produce arrives outside of the temperature specification (supplied by customer) you will be contacted to know how you would like to proceed.
- Steritech will store produce at the requested temperature via your online submission.
- Steritech will only load and unload fresh produce via our loading docks(rear loaded) in and out of the fresh produce warehouse.
